The venue for the GRAPHITE 2006 will be at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is located in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, fondly known as KLCC. Designed to be a "city within a city", this 40 hectare (100-acre) site includes the KLCC park and PETRONAS Twin Towers to lend a prestigious address to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

From KLIA to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) [top]
KLIA >> KL Sentral (using KLIA Express or ERL) >> KLCC (using Putra LRT)
Upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), either purchase your ticket from the KLIA Express Service Counter located in luggage collection area immediately after clearing immigration, or walk out from the Arrival Area. Turn right and head towards the lift to the KLIA Express Platform. The Arrival Area is at Level 3. The KLIA Express platform is at Level 1.
Exit the lift and turn right where you may buy the ticket at the service counter. The train departs every 15 minutes to bring you direct to KL Sentral, the nation's main rail transportation hub in just 28 minutes. A one-way adult ticket costs RM35. (US9.21). (NOTES: Don't Forget To Do Ringgit Malaysia (RM) currency exchange before you proceed to your destination. The currency exchange bureau is located nearby outside of the arrival area)
Upon arrival at KL Sentral, make your way to the escalator on your right. Proceeds toward the exit & leave via the automated ticket collection machines, and make your way to the Putra LRT Station. Proceed straight out of the ticket gates. Look for the overhead sign which directs to turn left at the end of the walkway. Continue past shops towards the end of the corridor and turn left into the main KL Sentral Concourse area. Head towards the sign for - "Putra LRT".
If you have any enquiries, the Customer Service Desk is right in front of the Putra LRT Station Entrance. You will find the Electronic Ticket Machine on the left. On the touch screen, select KLCC as your destination, insert the amount of fare and collect your ticket at the dispenser. You may also purchase tickets at the Customer Service Desk. Proceed to the platform 1 one floor above the Station's Concourse via escalator.
Board the LRT train and enjoy the ride with its view of Kuala Lumpur (KL). The LRT train will pass several stations before reaching KLCC station. The statoions are Pasar Seni, Masjid Jamek, Dang Wangi and Kampung Baru.When the LRT train reaches KLCC station, leave the train and turn left towards the station's exit. After the ticket barrier, turn left towards the Centre Court at the Concourse Level of Suria KLCC. When you reach the Centre Court, you will see the Suria KLCC Information Centre. Tell them about you attending GRAPHITE2006 conference at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and you can ask for hotel direction (Impiana and Corus hotel etc) and direction to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is accessible via the Concourse Level walkway.
To go to the Impiana Hotel, you need to go the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and the hotel entrance is located just across Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. For Corus Hotel you need to get outside of the Suria KLCC and cross the Jln Ampang. Corus hotel is located just in front of the KLCC majestic building. A better way to go is to ask for taxi from KL Sentral which can take you directly to Corus Hotel. For other hotel, please also use taxi service from KL Sentral. Just tell the taxi driver the hotel name and they will take you there.
